A=440 Hz
Inspired by Tartini and ImproviseForReal, we wanted to practice some voice leading with you, or in other words: which notes can I use? 01:39 What is a Cadence? 02:34 Play Along and See the Melodies 04:06 Repeat after hearing, but still seeing the melodies 05:30 Repeat after hearing, not seeing the melodies 07:07 Improvise freely We are going to look at a simple combination of two chords and focus on memorising some basic skeletal melodies that Tartini suggests. This memorisation is a very important aspect of learning to improvise. Since there are so many aspects and fun things in improvisation to be creative with, we should not in the first place have to think which skeletal melodies work and which don't, they should just 'roll off the tongue'. Tartini suggests these melodies so you can recognise them and other patterns to use for your ornamentation.
