Court orders Aamir Liaquat Hussain's post-mortem
A local court in Karachi on Saturday ordered the autopsy of TV host and former politician Aamir Liaquat Hussain after a petition was filed demanding a postmortem.

During the hearing today, attended by Aamir Liaqat's heirs and the government legal team, the public prosecutor stated that his heirs did not want a postmortem to be conducted as it would hurt their father’s “soul”.

According to the heirs, they do not suspect any foul play in the former politician’s death.

The police had also presented a report in court today stating that the police surgeon could not ascertain the cause of death till an autopsy was performed.

Earlier today, the court had reserved its judgement after hearing the arguments of both parties.
Abdul Ahad, a citizen, had filed a petition in the judicial magistrate's court in regarding the post-mortem.

Yesterday, the judicial magistrate (East) issued notices to the legal heirs of Aamir Liaquat and police officials on the petition seeking the autopsy of the lawmaker who was found dead at his residence earlier this month.

Barrister Arsalan Raja, counsel for the petitioner, stated that Aamir Liaquat died under "mysterious circumstances" and added that determining the cause of death was important as the departed was a lawmaker and a TV host.

The petitioner had also requested the court to form a special board for the exhumation and autopsy of the entertainer, claiming that identifying the cause of his death was necessary.

The petition sought an action against Dania Shah for uploading obscene videos of her late husband on social media.
During the hearing, the court ordered an action against the third wife of Mr Hussain who is a teenager and had filed Khula (cancellation of Nikah) application from her late husband in a court of law.

The petition filed by a social organization has made Dania Shah and FIA Cybercrime Wing respondents in the case.
While giving his arguments, petitioner’s lawyer Advocate Amir Jamil Virk told the court that Dania uploaded indecent videos of Mr Hussain on social media. He beseeched the court to issue an order to the FIA Cybercrime Wing asking it to take an action against the late politician’s third wife who humiliated Pakistani women all over the world by doing this shameful act.
The petition further stated that it was mean on the part of Mrs Dania to release indecent videos of her husband on social media on some petty domestic row while pleading the court that she be punished for this reprehensible act.
