There are a couple of scenes that reference characters from the previous X-Men movie. When Mystique gets information on the Sentinel program, she sees images of deceased mutants who have died in the name of Bolivar Trask’s work. These include Angel and Azazel who both appeared in X-Men: First Class. Magneto later berates Charles with their names, plus Banshee and Emma Frost, as they have died as they couldn’t protect them. Banshee and Emma both also appeared in First Class.
