Artificial Intelligence: A Cautionary Tale | Sarah Mackel | TEDxYouth@ISLuxembourg |
|
Improving our understanding of the flaws and pitfalls of Artificial Intelligence is crucial to our development, because, rather than remove human biases from important decisions, artificial intelligence will simply automate them, so long as we allow it to keep doing it. My name's Sarah Mackel, I'm seventeen, and I’m Belgian and Luxembourgish.
In my free time, I like reading, drawing, and hanging out with my friends. Next year, I plan to study Medicine in the United Kingdom - in the more distant future, however, I want to become an advocate for both technology and equality in STEM, especially in medicine where both are crucial to improving patients’ lives. “Never interrupt someone doing something you said couldn't be done.” ― Amelia Earhart This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
