International Cricket Council (ICC) President Zaheer Abbas has rightfully expressed concerns around Pakistan cricket team's participation in the World T20 scheduled in India in 2016.

This comes after repeated attacks by the Shiv Sena on just about anything and everything to do with Pakistan, be it artists, writers, or in this case - sports, with cricket being the unfortunate victim. In many ways, concerns of Pakistani cricket players for their safety are completely justified.

Whatever it is, nothing like India - Pakistan cricket matches. And to see it suffer is shameful and disgraceful.

We have otherwise been known to be proud hosts, notwithstanding the multiple initial hiccups surrounding hosting of the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi.

Goons like the Shiv Sena need to be kept in check so that genuine cricket lovers in India and around the world do not suffer. Pakistan maybe a nation that is besieged by terrorism but not all Pakistanis are terrorists.
