La Frontera: The Drug War In Mexico

For over a year, documentary photographer Louie Palu conducted in-depth research and fieldwork on the drug war in Mexico and its relationship to the United States. He traveled more than 2,000 miles along the U.S.-Mexico border, documenting violence, organized crime, and the drug trade.

Palu will discuss his work with Andres Martinez and give insights into the ground conditions on the border. He will also present his unique publication, "Mira Mexico," developed as an outreach tool to illustrate how images influence and manipulate our understanding of an issue.

Join the NewAmerica Foundation for this conversation on the social and political issues influencing the current situation in Mexico — and how these factors affect the United States.
