IBM Announces they have Reached an Inflection Point in Quantum Computing |
|
IBM has made a major announcement in the field of Quantum Computing, with a new 133-qubit quantum processor called Heron that also has an error rate that is three times lower than its previous processor. In addition, they have introduced Quantum System Two, a modular quantum computer. IBM says this new processor and Quantum System Two brings quantum computing into the realm of "utility scale", where the problems you can solve with a quantum computer start to become meaningfully different than what you could solve with a classical computer.
