The decision by the Northern Cape Liquor Board to lift the restriction on the sale of alcohol on Sundays and extension of night club hours has been met with mixed reactions. Some have warned of the province is reversing the gains made in dealing with Foetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS). Northern Cape Moral Regeneration Movement Chairperson, Dr Fatima Malo says authorities should have organised public hearings before the implementation of what they call an ill-considered decision.
