Comparison between Katy's voice in studio and live with songs from album One of the boys
I believe altough she sounds different her voice was not autotuned, it was harmonized but not autotuned at all, in studio you have to sing everything separated and you have a lot of chances for doing, live you only have one, and you have to sing all together, and sometimes it's not possible doing it identically, but she sounds better live in some songs, and her voice also is stronger and more consistent.
