Imagine if you headed to university knowing that not only would you leave with a degree, but that you would be debt-free too. For students in Denmark, this is their reality. Not only do they not have to pay tuition fees, they also get financial assistance while they study. The contrast with the UK system couldn't be more stark. However, the generous education system also has an expensive hidden cost for the Danes.
