This song is the finale of a specially commissioned one-off documentary called ‘Ceol na nGael’, which marks 50 years of RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta, and the remarkable role it played in preserving and showcasing our music tradition for future generations. National treasure Mairéad Ní Mhaoinigh explores the role the station has played in shaping her own career as a musician – and that of many other musicians of her generation and beyond.
