Celtic host St Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership at Celtic Park in the 3pm kick off on Saturday.

Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers admitted Celtic’s brutal injury list has forced his hand in the transfer market: “The ward is pretty full at the minute! Sometimes you have that spell, and it’s not great news on our three centre-halves."

“Those three being out is obviously a big disappointment. We have big games, and it’s definitely an area that we’ll have to look at, especially with what we have available.

Saints manager Steven MacLean said: “If I’m being honest, it is probably worse for us that they are coming off a defeat,”

“Kilmarnock put in a great performance and their shape was excellent, but it is a different game on the astroturf compared to playing at Celtic Park.

“When you go to Celtic Park, you need to play really well, be good on the ball and have a good shape about you.”
