The next conservative higher education agenda | LIVE STREAM

video thumbnail
When it comes to higher education, conservatives typically wind up playing defense, especially as the calls to cancel student debt grow louder and conservative voices on college campuses grow weaker. However, conservatives are uniquely situated to advance a new vision for higher education given their independence from bureaucracies and the academy. This is even more relevant in the wake of the pandemic, as people look for alternatives to the traditional college route. It is time for conservatives to craft a positive vision illustrating what they stand for in higher education and outline concrete steps to make that vision a reality.

Join AEI’s Beth Akers, Adam Kissel of the Cardinal Institute for West Virginia Policy, and Andrew P. Kelly of the University of North Carolina System for a discussion with AEI’s Frederick M. Hess about what principles and policies should frame the conservative higher education agenda in 2021 and beyond.
