West Hollywood Councilmembers John Duran and John D'Amico are two of this nation's very few HIV positive elected officials. Both sit on the 5-member City Council in the 1.9 square mile City of West Hollywood, California.
They sat down earlier this month to have a conversation about living with HIV in 2012, the ways in which the disease is different and evolving, and their responsibility to pivot the discussion and open up the dialogue about emerging options for people affected by HIV.
