On August 8, the General District Court unveiled a new mural in their administrative hallway. The mural was painted as a collaboration between local artist Tammy Hinkle and residents from the James River Juvenile Detention Center, who designed, sketched and painted the mural over the course of two weeks. The mural showcases important landmarks from throughout Henrico County that were selected by the GDC staff. This is the second mural made through this partnership, the first being in Chief of Staff to the County Manager Cari Tretina’s office in the Western Government Center (Video here: https://youtu.be/0kz2JK6RT90).
