How Betting Odds Work? Why bookmakers and sportsbooks never focus on picking winners, but instead, they are focusing on the odds. Every sports bettor should understand betting odds and the simple probabilities behind odds. MB explains sports betting odds in a simple spreadsheet with formulas and probabilities. We create a simple betting odds calculator and below are the formulas you can use to convert odds from decimal to US odds.

Convert decimal odds to US odds:
=ifs(K bigger than 2, ((K-1(*100), K smaller than 2, (-100)/(K-1), K=2,"+100")
K...decimal odds / example: 1.70

Convert US odds to decimal odds:
=IFS(K smaller than 100,(abs(100/K))+1,K bigger than 100,(K/100)+1,K=100, 2, K=-100, 2)
K...US odds / example: -120

Note: Youtube doesn't allow angled brackets. Please replace:
