India secured a famous draw at the SCG in the third and penultimate Test. Set a target of 407 runs, India batted with intent to secure a draw. At one stage, India even looked getting close to victory thanks to Rishabh Pant’s knock of 97. Cheteshwar Pujara played his part and then Hanuma Vihari and Ravi Ashwin stitched an unbeaten stand that lasted 258 balls.
