Hong Quan is the first of the five famous southern Wushu, which includes Hong, Liu, Cai, Li, and Mo styles. It has a history of over 300 years.

Cai Jingsheng is a Hong Quan coach. He started practicing Hong Quan at the age of six. It's been 40 years since. Before 2007, there was no Hong Quan academy in Shunde, South China's Guangdong Province, so the inheritance of Hong Quan had encountered problems."I did not want to see it lost, so I started up a Hong Quan academy in my garage – the first Hong Quan training base in Shunde." Cai said. Then he started teaching Hong Quan for free for seven years.
