11. Medieval Exoskeletons
The concept of exoskeletons is not new, in fact, they're littered throughout history if you know where to look. While now they look like robotic things of the future, even in medieval times, people were interested in the idea of specialized armor. Maybe. Because this image is kind of weird and confusing!

10. Star Jelly
There are many mysterious things that fall down from the sky, but few of them are weird and mysterious as Star Jelly. This is something that indeed comes down from the skies above, and unlike rain, sleet, hail, or snow, it's gelatinous, which isn't something you'd expect to see coming down from the heavens above.

9. Bermuda Triangle
In terms of mysterious places in the world itself, few have gotten more legends and mysteries about it than the place known as the Bermuda Triangle. The Bermuda Triangle itself is very large, 500,000 square miles of water that is somewhat "tied" to Miami, Bermuda and Puerto Rico, which if you put three dots on those places and connect them...you get a triangle.

8. Morning Glory Clouds
The clouds in the sky are a key part of our world. It is through clouds that we can predict weather, further study the water cycle, and have different types of weather. But for most people, they like to see how clouds shape themselves over time. But in Australia, there's a particular type of cloud that appears often, and there's no clue as to how it does this. This is the mystery of the Morning Glory Clouds.

7. Beacon of Maracaibo
When there is a storm, there is often lightning, but in Venezuela, there is lightning that virtually never stops. This is known as the Beacon of Maracaibo. Specifically, this happens every night in Western Venezuela over the Catatumbo River. Starting at around 7:00 pm, lightning will start to strike the river, and it won't stop for the next ten hours. This storm happens between 140-260 days of the year, and can strike around 280 times per hour.

6. Naga's Fireballs
Allow me to tell you a real-life story of fire shooting out of the water. In Thailand’s Mekong River, every single year, a string of fireballs shoot out of the ground. Hundreds of them. What's more, unlike certain other events, this one is consistent, for Time Magazine actually did a piece on this and noted that they appear on a “late autumn night of the full moon at the end of the Buddhist Lent for as long as anyone can remember.”

5. Before The Big Bang
The Big Bang is what most scientists (who don't believe in religion) feel is the true explanation for how our universe was created. Not only that though, this rapid expansion of matter and life is also the reason that the universe is expanding at a certain rate, or so they believe. However, upon "rewinding the clock", scientists hit a problem, because no one is able to say or even theorize what came before it.

Earthquakes are by and large one of the biggest natural disasters in the world. But thankfully for us, we know generally why they're caused (via shifting tectonic plates) and we are somewhat able to detect them. Here's something you might see a lot and take for granted. For you see, animals have a "cycle", not unlike humans. But for many, when the days get shorter and colder, they feel the need to either hibernate or migrate.
