In this Lecture, I will discuss the History of Rome with mostly emphasis on the Late Roman Republic with the advent of the Roman Empire up to Julius Caesar and Octavian.

For this Lecture, please research on your own such historical questions as the following: What happened on the "Ides of March" in 44 B.C.? Who was Octavian? What happened to Mark Antony and Cleopatra? Who became the first Emperor of the Roman Empire? What was the Pax Romana? Who were the Emperors in the Julio-Claudian Dynasty?

This week I will also remind students about upcoming Assignments that need to be completed.
