Detroit is the biggest and most populated city in the state of Michigan. It is located on the Detroit River in southeast Michigan. On the other side of the river is the Canadian city of Windsor, Ontario.

In addition to its historical association with the automobile industry, Detroit is renowned for its contributions to music and as a center for art, architecture, and design.
