Leo & Meryl Streep talk to CBS’ Sunday Morning about Don’t Look Up |

Recently Leo, Meryl Streep & Adam McKay sat down with CBS’ Sunday Morning News correspondent Tracy Smith to talk all things about their new Netflix movie Don’t Look Up, their careers & more. While the interview doesn’t air until tomorrow in America (Sunday, December 5th) as well as be available to stream on Paramount+, the CBS Sunday Morning Twitter page did share a snippet from the interview (view below).
During the interview that will air tomorrow, Leo & Meryl say that they hope that through the laughs in their new comedy, they'll be able to change some minds about the perils of climate change. But, can a movie about climate change really make a difference? Leo told the CBS News correspondent, “Hopefully, but at this point, I'm a Debbie Downer with the system. So, you're asking the wrong guy. To me, it's about a little less, you know, conversation, and a lot more action.” Leo told the CBS News correspondent. As they shot the film during the pandemic, the concept behind the film became more meaningful to Leo, “that's why it connected with this screenplay that was about the climate crisis that we're all going to go through – we're all going to feel the ramifications of this,” he said before continuing “And what we're seeing right now, with the wildfires and the massive hurricanes and all these catastrophes, doesn't get better than this, okay? … It doesn't get better than this. It slowly becomes worse.” (Source/📸/🎥/: cbstv & cbssundaymorning) 😍 #leodicaprio #leonardodicaprio #leonardowilhelmdicaprio #dicaprihoe #leodicapriolover #dicaprio #leo #leonardo #leonardodicapriofan #dicapriofans #leonardodicapriofanpage #movies #cinema #hollywood #drrandallmindy #dontlookup #merylstreep #janieorlean #adammckay #netflix #cbssundaymorning #pressinterviews #movienews #new |
