How do we begin to solve the complex layers of Alzheimer’s disease. Amber Young shares her recent research involving the use of mice models to analyze molecular mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease.
Amber Young, a Cranbrook Kingswood high school junior, shares her story of exploring the depth of the field of medicine including areas in STEM such as stem cell research, tissue engineering, neurological research and drug discovery. Amber’s recent research project involves the use of mice models to analyze molecular mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease. She aspires to become a neurologist as she continues her endeavors in scientific research. She also has a background in world affairs as she me with UN ambassadors from member countries including Comoros, Peru, Bolivia and Argentina to debate global health issues such as access to health care and medication. She is dynamic, ambitious and making a change in the world. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
