The independent policing oversight authority (IPOA) has launched a probe into the police response to Tuesday’s riot by students of the Multimedia University to establish whether indeed the law enforcers used excessive force. This as the university administration accused the police of crossing the line following a report from the hospital where seven casualties of the demos are admitted that some casualties sustained bullet wounds.
A police officer who was stoned by the rioting students is fighting for his life in a high dependency unit at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
