Will PHA Replace All Plastic? | Nouf Alhazmi | TEDxKFUPM

Plastic will continue floating in our oceans as long as we are stuck in the 20th-century linear economic mindset. PHA bioplastic is the world’s solution to landfilling, waste generation, and greenhouse gas emissions. PHA could eradicate petroleum-based plastic from our supply chains for a circular economy Nouf Alhazmi is a bioengineer and an entrepreneur.
She holds two master's degrees from Rochester Institute of Technology, New York, and KFUPM, and a bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. She’s worked for KAUST, KAEC, and a few startups in San Francisco. She was recently awarded the first place prize at Spark entrepreneurship contest for her PHA Bioplastics startup, Plastus.
