규모 7.1 지진, 중국 북서부 신장 지역 강타

We begin today in China, where a 7.1 magnitude earthquake shook China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in the early hours of Tuesday.
No casualties have been reported so far.
According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, the strong quake of above 7 magnitude hit Wushi County in Aksu Prefecture at 2:09 am on Tuesday. A succession of aftershocks topping a 5.3 magnitude followed the main earthquake.

The epicenter with a depth of 22 kilometers was situated in the mountainous border area between China and Kyrgyzstan. In temperatures of around minus 10 degrees Celsius, local residents of the Aksu area rushed to open space for safety, while firefighters were dispatched immediately.
