VICTIM MENTALITY || how to recognize it in yourself and others

video thumbnail
Today I am so excited to share with you a HUGE internal shift I've experienced since exploring Victim Mentality vs. Creator Mentality! I've noticed and accepted how I play the victim in my life, and taken action to actively play the creator, instead.

I am noticing the physical shifts taking place as I work towards manifesting my dream reality into existence, but more significantly I am blown away by the change within my mind that has occurred. I take responsibility for my life. If I'm unhappy about something, it is completely up to me to change that thing. If I want to be a certain way, I must align with that energy and take the steps towards becoming that way.

Concerning the people around me, I'm amazed at how differently I am perceiving them. After I stopped seeking their approval and trying to please them out of insecurity, I am able to more genuinely connect with them. I am able to see that they, too, have moments of self doubt and ways in which they waffle over their ideas.

This gives me the opportunity to explore these uncertainties with them. If they put themselves out there, with an unsure idea, I can explore it further. Ask them why they feel that way or to get down into the specifics of the matter. Perhaps, I can help them come to a more secure position involving the idea. Who knows!

I feel like I'm on the same level as the people I admire. This is huge because I used to strive to be more like them, in some unconscious way. Now, I strive to be as ME as I can be. I am confident in who I am and who I am becoming. It's so beautiful. I hope that exploring this mindset can bring a few groundbreaking discoveries to you, as well!

I grew up with victims, and to be honest, I largely grew up a victim. Do you want to hear more about how? Let me know! Share your experience with and thoughts about this mindset shift in the comments below! You never know who needs to hear your story.

Happy Healing (:
