Building A Sand Beach Volleyball Court In Your Backyard |
|
Building a sand beach volleyball court in your backyard. A quick video showing the steps I took when building our sand volleyball court. The dimensions of the court are 70ft x 45ft. I used 4x6 Cedar boards for the border because they were free. :) 4" PVC Drain Pipe with Geotextile fabric and 60 tons of #2 gravel installed for drainage. Woven 5 ounce Landscape fabric laid on top of gravel to prevent sand from clogging drainage. Sand depth roughly 18 to 24 inches in play area. 200 Tons of Sand. I decided to use 6x6 Posts for the Volleyball Poles. Installed the Monson Slider Attachment System from Volleyball USA - https://www.volleyballusa.com/slider-attachment-system/. Very happy with it so far! Will be installing an 8ft tall boundary net in the near future(that's what the 4x4 posts are in the corners). A great place for more information on building your own sand volleyball court here - https://www.volleyballusa.com/volleyball-court-construction/ Thanks for watching!
