In this episode of the Talk Dog series, Bow Wow Bill sits down with Adrienne Forsythe, a certified Canine Training and Behavior Specialist with a unique background. Adrienne never imagined that her love for animals would lead her to a career in dog training. She was a classical pianist and an English major in college before joining the Army as an Arabic linguist and Signals Intelligence Analyst in 2009.

After separating from the Army in 2014, Adrienne used her GI Bill to attend Starmark Academy and earned her state-accredited certificate as a Canine Training and Behavior Specialist in 2016. Since then, she has been helping dog owners learn to love living with their dogs by using her communication skills to understand their needs and behavior.

Adrienne is committed to her craft and attends schools, workshops, and conferences yearly to stay up-to-date with the latest training techniques. In November 2019, she graduated from the elite NePoPo®️ Silver School, and in April 2020, she completed the NePoPo®️ Gold School.

During the episode, Adrienne shares her experiences working with her three dogs: Tucker, Dexter, and Reveille. Tucker, her lab/rottweiler cross, is her long-term behavior modification project, but he also loves to work on advanced obedience, tricks, and retriever work. Dexter, a cattle dog mix, is a great demo dog and enjoys helping other dogs with reactivity issues. Reveille, her Belgian Malinois, is her newest addition and will be her foray into protection sports and bite work.

Adrienne is passionate about helping people achieve their training goals and believes that dog training can be an intimate and rewarding experience. She loves to be the support and encouragement that dog owners need during the training process and is always excited to hear about new dogs and their training needs.
