Moving the deadline from January 31 to February 10 with a seven days’ grace period, the policy is still generating more reactions from Nigerians as the new notes are scarce despite assurances by the apex bank that banks will continue to load their ATMs with the new notes.
However, there seem to be a glimpse of hope for the citizens who still trades with the old naira notes as the Supreme Court of Nigeria has restrained the Federal Government from implementing the February 10 Deadline for the old 200, 500 and 1000 naira notes to stop being legal tenders.
