Our regular viewers would have by now realized that Elon musk isn’t your ordinary multi-billionaire tech mogul. From solar panels to electric vehicles, to space exploration, Elon musk has revolutionized everything he’s touched. And now the absolute mad lad that is Elon Musk is planning on, drum rolls, LAUNCH A FACTORY INTO SPACE. Yes, you heard that right. SpaceX has partnered with Varda Space Industries to launch a factory into space. So without wasting any more time let’s jump right into it.
SpaceX and Varda Space Industries have announced a partnership to launch the world’s first space factory. Varda Space Industries, based in Torrance, California, has signed an agreement with SpaceX to launch its first space factory in early 2023 on a Falcon 9 rocket. Varda Space has evolved at a breakneck pace in a short period of time. It began with only $9 million in seed capital in December 2020. Few saw how the corporation would achieve its goal of establishing space factories for Earth-bound items, despite the fact that the space sector employs millions every day. Eight months later, the company obtained $42 million in finance and began setting up shop and forming partnerships with leading space corporations in order to realize its ambition. On a Falcon 9, SpaceX will give Varda’s space factory a fast journey to low-earth orbit. The first space factory will be installed on numerous Photon spacecraft provided by Rocket Lab. Surprisingly, Rocket Lab is one of SpaceX's competitors. But, for once, we are excited to find out that competition has not stifled technological progress. Varda Space has gone on to clarify that they are not only developing an orbiting lab, but also humanity’s first commercial zero-gravity industrial park on a large scale.
