1. US President Joe Biden will visit Israel to show support for its war on Hamas after Washington said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to let humanitarian aid reach besieged Gazans.
 
2. Islamist group Hamas released a video showing a statement from one of their captives seized in last week's devastating attack on Israel. The woman identifies herself as 21-year-old Mia Schem and asks to be returned to her family. 
 
3. Jordan's King Abdullah warned against trying to push Palestinian refugees into the country or Egypt adding that the humanitarian situation must be dealt with inside Gaza and the West Bank.
 
4. Russian President Vladimir Putin arrives in Beijing to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping on a widely watched trip aimed at showcasing the trust and ‘no-limits’ partnership between the countries.
 
5. Republican Jim Jordan will try to claim the gavel of the speaker of the US House of Representatives in a vote that could elevate the right-wing figure to one of the most powerful posts in Washington.
