The Climate Reality Project is a global movement of more than 23,000 diverse and dedicated volunteers, from 154 countries around the world. Tracey Wade was one of thousands who took part in the training in August 2020, including formal sessions by former US Vice President and Nobel Laureate Al Gore to educate the public about the science and impacts of climate change, as well as solutions to address the climate crisis. This Climate Reality presentation, presented live on February 4th by Tracey, addresses the climate science, as well as the causes and impacts of climate change at the global, national, and regional levels. The presentation includes an overview of recent meteorological events and an explanation of the linkages between human activity and the intensification and frequency of events such as floods, droughts, and storms. The presentation concludes with solutions that can be incorporated and adopted by individuals, businesses, and communities to help mitigate climate change. |
