The Laval Rocket run to the Calder Cup has finally come to an end as they lost in Game 7 to the Springfield Thunderbirds. Scott and Laura reflect on the crazy run that almost never happened, and why despite the loss they're optimistic heading into next season. The hosts also discuss the incredible play of Cayden Primeau and how these playoffs have helped to re-establish him as a true top prospect in the Canadiens system.


Speaking of prospects, the Memorial Cup is set, and Montreal has a trio of prospects vying for the CHL's top prize. The hosts break down the impressive rise of Kaiden Guhle as a player, and why they were both wrong with their initial assessments of him after he was drafted. They also take a look at an impressive Hamilton Bulldogs team featuring Jan Mysak and Arber Xhekaj, who clinched an OHL title. Scott however, has some reservations about Xhekaj at the professional level and if he can rein in his wild side next year.


Finally, Pierre LeBrun wrote an impressive piece detailing Kent Hughes' work at the NHL Trade Deadline, particularly with the Artturi Lehkonen trade to Colorado. Scott and Laura discuss how Hughes pulled off the deal, and why it underscores a strong deadline for the rookie GM. It also raises the question, did Joe Sakic get fleeced by Kent Hughes?
