Reviving a People's Revolutionary Culture |

In the context of Ibram X. Kendi's article in Time Magazine proclaiming a so-called Black Cultural Renaissance, we analyze the role of culture and art, particularly the ruling elite's assault on the people's culture of resistance under the guise of wokeness and identity politics. We gave presentations on the relationship between the Chinese Revolution and Art, Afro American Jazz and freedom movements around the world, as well as W.E.B. Du Bois and Mahatma Gandhi's views on truth and beauty.
