Happy New Year! If your resolution is to get back on track in 2023, I'm here rooting for you. Just remember, it's easy to overdo it in your first month back in action. Let's not overwhelm ourselves... but most importantly, let's prevent injury by taking slow and gentle first steps. All we need to do this month is wake up those dormant joints and muscles by activating them with gentle but effective exercises. Our goal is CONSISTENCY. To be consistent we need to do things that are sustainable for the long run. This activation routine is the first step in your forever journey. If this is not your first rodeo, this routine is still a great way to keep your joints and muscles healthy for activities of daily living. Beginner tip: Always follow your natural range of motion. Don't push yourself too far or too fast at first. You might not be able to move as quickly or push your range as deeply as me... that's totally fine! Do what you can. You can also, pause, rewind, fast forward, skip, or just watch and learn as you take a little break. This is a judgement free challenge. You showed up, that's all that matters right now! Let's do this.
