Ruth Hunt is the Chief Executive of Stonewall, the largest LGBTQIA+ rights organisation in the UK. Since her appointment in 2014, Hunt has overseen Stonewall’s transition to campaign for transgender rights for the first time, along with the focused expansion of Stonewall’s network throughout the UK and worldwide. The Independent previously named Hunt the third most influential LGBTQIA+ figure in Britain.
