As a life member since 2005, I discuss my experiences with numerous VFW Posts while trying to organize a charity walk. I review what is happening to the VFW in this century with the rise of social media and the disconnect with today's veterans. I address the age gap and fact that there were no wars for 40 years, which seems to have broken the link between the Vietnam generation and their grandchildren. The days of a father, son and grandson sitting together at the post seem to have stopped.
