2023 Changan Shenlan S7 EV in-depth Walkaround

The Shenlan EV brand, a joint project between Changan, CATL, and Huawei, is positioned above the Changan brand and below the Avatr brand. The Shenlan S7 will be a mid-sized SUV available in two versions: EV and EREV.

The EV version will have 218 hp or 258 hp, while the EREV version will have a 238 hp electric motor and a 95 hp 1.5-liter gasoline engine that works only as a generator for the battery pack. The interior features a HUD, a central screen for infotainment, and orange-brown trim. The S7 has no visible buttons on the dashboard and center stack and an interesting steering wheel design.

The public debut of the Shenlan S7 will be at the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show in April, with an expected price starting at around 160,000 RMB (23,600 USD).
