Tesla released the redesigned version of its Model 3 compact sedan in North America on Wednesday at costs that have not changed. This comes several months after the vehicle was introduced in China and Europe, where it already garnered a significant amount of demand.

Following a price battle that occurred in the previous year, which assisted the firm in meeting its yearly deliveries goal at the expense of profitability, this decision will have the effect of bringing back Tesla's aged car lineup in its most significant market.

According to Tesla's website, the redesigned version of the Model 3 variations with rear-wheel drive and long-range capabilities includes additional amenities like as a rear display for passengers in the backseat.
After the modifications, the long-range edition now has a range of 341 miles on a single charge, which is an increase over the previous range of 333 miles.

The wheel designs of Tesla vehicles have also been updated, and the company is now offering them in two new colors: "Stealth Grey" and "Ultra Red."

Following the implementation of new guidance under the United States Inflation Reduction Act, the rear-wheel drive variant of the Model 3 is priced at $38,990, while the long-range model is priced at $45,990. This is due to the fact that both variants are no longer eligible for a federal tax credit of $7,500 at the end of 2023.

The North American websites of Tesla have been updated to eliminate the Model 3 Performance variation, which was the most costly version of the small sedan at $50,990 before the federal tax credit was applied.

A more expensive version of the updated Model 3, which was developed as part of a project with the codename "Highland," was presented to the public in China in September of the previous year. One month later, it was made available for purchase throughout Europe.

In the beginning of this month, analysts attributed Tesla's record quarterly sales to the design changes that the business implemented, in addition to the discounts and incentives that the company offered at the end of 2023.
When it comes to the global automotive sector, the Tesla Model 3 has been the most significant disruptor. It powered through the pandemic, became the best-selling electric car, and outflanked luxury sector mainstays like the BMW 3-series, Audi A4, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
