Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is a Bollywood drama movie, directed by Karan Johar. The cast of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani includes Ranveer Singh,Alia Bhatt.

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani cast: Filmmaker Karan Johar announced his next project, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani on July 6. With this film, Johar will return to direction after a break of five years. His last directorial venture was the 2016 film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai.
Written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan, and Sumit Roy, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani will be headlined by two of the Hindi film industry’s most bankable stars and also features a strong supporting cast.

This Karan Johar directorial will be led by actors Ranveer Singh, and Alia Bhatt, who will reunite on screen once again after the movie Gully Boy.

The filmmaker had dropped a hint regarding his upcoming film a day before. On July 6, Johar, along with Bhatt and Singh unveiled the project on social media. “Thrilled to get behind the lens with my favourite people in front of it! Presenting Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, headlined by none other than Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt and written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan & Sumit Roy. This anokhi kahani is coming to your screens in 2022!” Johar captioned his post.

The director also revealed in a separate post that while the film is a love story, ” it’s not your regular love story. Rocky and Rani are going to redefine your usual love stories to take you on a journey!”

Later in the Day, Johar introduced the rest of the film’s cast- including veteran actors Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra, who will play Bhatt’s grandparents. Jaya Bachchan who has worked with Johar before in the movie, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, and Kal Ho Na Ho will play the role of Singh’s grandmother.

Since Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Karan Johar has directed two short film segments in Netflix anthologies Lust Stories and Ghost Stories. His next directorial venture was supposed to be a magnum opus titled Takht, however, the project has been reportedly delayed due to COVID-19.
