The Dude Abides: A long, one shot film take

video thumbnail
This is a very long one-shot film take from the Coen Brother's Film, "The Big Lebowsky." It's 2.5 minutes long without an edit. It begins with a "strike" and ends with a "strike". A long film take is an uninterrupted shot in a film which lasts much longer than the conventional editing pace either of the film itself or of films in general, usually lasting several minutes.

The song playing in the background is "Dead Flowers." Written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones, appearing on their 1971 album Sticky Fingers.

Townes Van Zandt is covering the song.
