Who am I?
My name is Genevieve, and I have been a private tutor in the UK for over 10 years. I love what I do, and I’ve decided to make a channel to help you get the grade you’re aiming for in Maths GCSE. Whether it is a 5 or a 9, this channel will help you get there.

The first thing you need to know, is that if you are struggling with maths, it is NOT a reflection of how smart or intelligent you are. I’m a member of MENSA and a trainee doctor, but back at school I was consistently struggling with this subject because of the way it was taught and how much there was for us to learn or memorise. In year 10 I had an incredible teacher that showed me how important using the practice papers were, because they showed you exactly what the different types of examiners want. It turns out that to get a good grade in the exam, it’s just as important to familiarise yourself with all the patterns and key words that exam boards use as it is to understand the different topics.
