Jim Kupres (Aka THE KOOP) is headed for The Bunker. Between a flurry of live spring performances across the Chicago metro area , The Koop and his Eclectic Acoustic settles into a Tuesday evening live streamed performance on YouTube from The Bunker in St. Charles, IL. This intimate live event will feature all original Koop music. Drawing on his catalog of songs recorded and published with his DashRed, The Koop will explore them “au natural”, just as they were composed. The Koop’s favorite tunes from DashRed records, as well as his new 2024 Koop releases, will take center stage.

Over 40 years ago, The Koop began playing guitar and writing “little songs”. After becoming captivated with multi -track recording in the mid-80’s, The Koop’s infatuation culminated in the recording of dozens upon dozens of songs over decade after decade after decade.

With his ever evolving band DashRed and across musical genres, beginning in 1999 The Koop produced and published 4 full length albums, “View From The Attic”, “Aurora Project”, “DECADE” and “SongSmyth”. Collaborative efforts all, each contain the musical musing that roll around in the heart and the mind of The Koop.

Because of his relentless schedule of live solo acoustic shows, today they call him the hardest working man in show business. The Koop was recognized as WONC 89.1 Naperville’s Featured Local Artist of the Month this past October and his “Eclectic Acoustic” can be heard somewhere across the Chicago metro area every week.
