Authorities in California confirmed that the suspect in the mass shootings in Monterey Park has died from a self-inflicted gunshot after police found a white van in Torrance, Calif.

The mass shootings claimed the lives of 10 people and injured 10 others after Lunar New Year celebrations.

Police say the suspect is 72-year-old Huu Can Tran, and that several pieces of evidence linking Tran to the shootings in Monterey Park were found inside the white van.

Authorities say a handgun was also found inside the van and there are no outstanding suspects in the mass shootings.

It was the fifth mass killing in the U.S. this month.
