With the desire to jump-start a career shift to consulting, Pearl took the MBA leap four years after her undergrad, securing a GMAT 720 on the way to her Rotman MBA admit with hefty scholarship support.

Pearl is quite forthcoming about the mistakes she made along the way, and cautions other MBA aspirants to start their applications as early as possible. Emphasizing the act of learning from mistakes during prep, Pearl advises GMAT takers to also not pressure themselves too much to excel on the test.

Describing her MBA interview, Pearl stresses its conversational nature. About the MBA itself, Pearl says that it has been a time of incredible skill growth and cultural maturation for her, and that the hunt for jobs during the program has given her a new appreciation for the importance of building professional relationships.
