SHOCKING UPSET: Marie Josee Ta Lou To STUN Sha'Carri Richardson IN 100m | LA Grand Prix 2023

Just recently Sha'Carri Richardson did us proud by recording a world-leading time in the 100-meters. And while she was thinking it was time for her to rest on her laurels thanks to the incredible feat she has displayed so far this season, African Marie Josee Ta Lou came from nowhere and proved to Richardson that she need to wake up or else lose her early bragging rights. Ta Lou has edged so close to Richardson recording the second-fastest time this season over the 100-meter dash. And even as we are headed to the 2023 Los Angeles Grand Prix on May 27th, 2023, you can be sure we're going to witness an exciting showdown for the sprinting supremacy.
Is Ta Lou going to overthrow Sha'Carri Richardson over 100 meters? Be sure to watch this video till the end to find out. And if you're new here, subscribe to this channel and hit the bell icon to never miss an update.

So, let's get started with the video…

American sprint sensation Sha'Carri Richardson has signaled her return to form this season by winning race after race and crushing records one after the other. At the season-opening Diamond League meeting in Doha, Sha'Carri Richardson left the crowd at the edge of their seats running a blistering 10.76 seconds over the 100-meters, to record a world lead and meeting record. She did not stop there and went ahead to grab an easy win in the women's 200-meters at the Kip Keino Classic in Nairobi crossing the finish line with a time of 22.07 seconds. This was her very first victory this season over the 200-meters after finishing second in the Botswana Grand Prix, the second leg of the World Athletic Continental Gold Tour in Gaborone.

And now that she is the fastest woman in the world this season over the 100-meters, nobody expected that she might receive a threat from an African female sprinter. I mean, we have the likes of Jamaicans Sharicka Jackson, and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, among others who seemed most favorable to give Sha'Carri Richardson a run for her money. But forget about all these star attractions, because Ivorian track and field sprinter Marie Josee Ta Lou just laid them all down to clinch the second-fastest time over the 100-meters so far this season.

At the Pure Athletics Sprint Elite Meet held in Clermont, Florida recently, Ta Lou did something that we all didn't expect… Not only did she streak to a 100-meters victory with a scorching time of 10.78 seconds, but she also won the 200-meters, running a season-best with a time of 22.31 seconds. With 10.78 seconds, Ta Lou now holds the second-fastest time of the season over the 100-meters, just a fraction of a second behind Sha'Carri's 10.76 seconds.

But here is the big question: "Is Marie Josee Ta Lou going to beat Sha'Carri Richardson over the 100 meters at the upcoming 2023 Los Angeles Grand Prix?" Well, truth be said, this is going to be an epic showdown… Because look, we have the world-leading time and the second fastest time this year going head-to-head in an epic 100-meters. Of course, the expectations are high and Sha'Carri Richardson seems the most favorable athlete to win the 100-meters at the LA Grand Prix. She is known for her explosive starts off the blocks and incredible topping speed, which has made her dominate the world of track and field this season, and position herself as a front-runner on the track.
