Godzilla returns... more terrifying than ever!

This award-winning film from 2016 features an all-new take on Godzilla. Just as the main character changes and evolves throughout the film, so does the storyline. Something has surfaced in Tokyo Bay, but despite warnings and cries for alarm, the government widely ignores the problem. When that problem reaches landfall, the world is introduced to GODZILLA and nothing will stay the same. Impervious to weaponry and capable of utter devastation, Godzilla threatens not only Japan, but possibly the world. With a creature that evolves whenever it is attacked and the rest of the world ready to unleash nuclear weapons in order to stop the monster... it will take an unlikely task force to solve not only the mystery of Godzilla... but to find a way to stop it as well.

The film received both critical and commercial success, including a small theatrical run in the United States. Inspired by recent and tragic disasters, the film presents a realistic look at what would happen should a monster like Godzilla suddenly appear. This must-see film has a compelling story matched with its terrific acting and directing, provides a unique and modern vision of Godzilla; but it may be the monster's many forms which captivated fans across the globe. The final design proved to be so popular that a new statue of Shin Godzilla replaced a Heisei Era version in Tokyo.
