Mother Sati destroys herself by putting herself in the fire after insulting Mahadev. After which Mahadev comes back with her body. Mahadev drowns in separation after Mata Sati leaves. Seeing him sad, all the gods and goddesses of the universe remain sad. Mahadev starts doing tandav in separation of Mata Sati. Due to which the earth starts shaking.
