One day I was sitting on my bed playing these three chords over and over that were familiar but I couldn't think how. Then over the top I sang "I met my maker, I made him cry", and I KNEW that wasn't the right words but it fit, so I decided to do it. The first person I played the idea to said it was "cheesy", but here's the thing; dae what eh want.

In 1997 Oasis brought out Be Here Now. I was in Kingsize myself at this time (we played T In The Park that year) and that was the point I started thinking they were becoming something I would listen to; if you don't want your rock & roll albums packed full of bombastic, drug-fuelled, egocentric, self-indulgent musical insanity made by young guys you'd kill to swap jobs with, go listen to the Boo Radleys!! Even Oasis thought at the time, "we've booted the arse right out of it here" which was absolutely fine with me! Props to any band with the nuts to put 30 guitar tracks on one song!

Anyway, in anticipation of the 20th anniversary of the release, Noel Gallagher had the idea to go back and remix the whole album into something more sensible ("...for every millisecond Liam is not saying a word, there's a fucking guitar riff in there in a Wayne's World stylee"), but got bored after the first track and gave up, which he subtitled "NG's 2016 Rethink", and added to the bonus tracks on the re-release.

I always thought it a wee bit lazy of Noel to just take the chords of Wonderwall and recycle them into something else, so I've had a bash at trying to do something a bit different, and rewritten a lot of the music, but tried to maintain the vibe of the original.
